Sissel Tolaas (born 1961) is an installation artist from Norway. The atlas lists 2 works between 2010 and 2019, shown at Ars Electronica Festival. Honours include Honorary Mention at the Prix Ars Electronica 2010 for “FEAR 09/19”. Frequent collaborators include Christina Agapakis, with support from IFF Inc and Alexandra Daisy Ginsberg.
Biography
Sissel Tolaas (NO/IS), artist/researcher and professional “inbetweener”. After diving on oil rigs in Norway, I climbed out of the sea to study mathematics, chemistry, linguistics and visual arts in five different countries.
