My work explores virtual reality technologies as cultural interventions. It is based on the premise that nascent technologies, in their initial awkwardness, offer opportunities to challenge dominant patterns of technological development.

Robert McFadden (CDN), born 1953, B.A. in Visual Arts, is a visual artist working with virtual reality technologies. McFadden’s work has been shown in galleries, theatres and public spaces across Canada and England.
