Monika Loyola created “Absence”, a light installation shown at Light Festival Ghent 2015 in Ghent, Belgium.
In the dark we see a dimly lit sewing machine. It moves and starts to work, at the same time poems by the Ghent city poet are projected. When the audience leaves, it becomes quiet and dark again.
