Fluctuatio (in)animi

by Clara Maïda

🏆 Honorary Mention · Prix Ars Electronica 2007

Clara Maïda's “Fluctuatio (in)animi” was honoured with a Honorary Mention at the Prix Ars Electronica 2007, category Digital Musics & Sound Art.

The title of this work refers to the notion of fluctuation animi that Spinoza developed by linking it to the notion of affect. The simultaneity of opposite affects induces a rearrangement, but also a conflict within the psychic dynamics.
