CAAD - Eidgenössische Technische Hochschule Zürich's “phase(x)³” was honoured with a Honorary Mention at the Prix Ars Electronica 1999, category Net Based Art.
phase(x)3 is an explicitly designed collaborative process currently taking place. It involves a large group of architecture students who form a collective authorship. They interact and communicate through the exchange and the mutual reinterpretation of their 3D digital models.

The people involved in the conception and implementation of the phase(x) system at the chair for CAAD at ETH Zürich, are all architects by training, working as researchers or as media artists in addition to their teaching obligations.
