“Piratbyrån” by an uncredited artist received an Award of Distinction in the Digital Communities category of the Prix Ars Electronica 2009.
“Piratbyrån” (The Bureau for Piracy) might internationally be best known for starting up The Pirate Bay, which is now the world's largest bittorrent tracker and the subject of a controversial court case. (“The Pirate Bay” has long since been an independent entity, even if collaborating closely with “Piratbyrån”).
