Supercluster (5000 Spheres)

by John Kahrs

🏆 Award of Distinction · Prix Ars Electronica 1994

In 1994, the Prix Ars Electronica jury recognised “Supercluster (5000 Spheres)” by John Kahrs (Computer Graphics) with an Award of Distinction.

John Kahr's "Supercluster" image was rendered using radiosity which makes it appear photorealistic. The "Supercluster" image was created with cgiStudio, a proprietary software package in development at Blue Sky Productions in Ossining, New York.
