Supernova

by Turner, Claudio Mantovani, Shewanna Mendis, Gabriel Duque, Pablo Codina, Dean Van Der Merwe, Roberto Rizzo, Alex Tran, Aaron Hogan, Nat Ma

Turner, Claudio Mantovani, Shewanna Mendis, Gabriel Duque and 6 others created “Supernova”, a light installation shown at Vivid Sydney 2017 in Sydney, Australia. The work could be seen at Bulletin Pl.

Supernova by-passes the bright lights of the city to create a starry night sky. An array of cantilevered umbrellas open and close, their material glowing; when fully open, there’s a flash of bright light – the supernova is revealed!
