In 2004, the Prix Ars Electronica jury recognised “The Sine Wave Orchestra Static” by Jo Kazuhiro, Sine Wave Orchestra, Mizuki Noguchi, Daisuke Ishida and 1 others (Digital Musics & Sound Art) with a Honorary Mention.
Anyone who can make a sine wave can participate in the Sine Wave Orchestra. It performs with all group members taking part concurrently. During the performance each contributor creates only the sound of a single sine wave, each one of which is broadcast from a distinct speaker.
