Throw distance calculator
Work out where to place a projector: enter a throw ratio (or pick a projector model) and either the image width or the distance. Works in metres and feet.
How it works
Throw ratio = distance ÷ image width. A zoom lens has a range, so for a given width the projector can stand anywhere between min ratio × width and max ratio × width. Read the full explanation in Throw ratio and throw distance explained.
Every model page in the projector database also has a pre-computed throw table for all compatible lenses.
