BCL, Shiho Fukuhara and Georg Tremmel's “Common Flowers - Flower Commons” was honoured with a Honorary Mention at the Prix Ars Electronica 2009, category Hybrid Art.
The “Common Flowers” project is based on the first commercially available genetically modified flower, the blue “Moondust” GM carnation developed and marketed by Japanese beer-brewing company Suntory.
