Stefan Larsson's “The Ishiyama Excursion” was honoured with a Honorary Mention at the Prix Ars Electronica 2011, category Computer Animation.
_The Ishiyama Excursion_ video features third incarnation AUJIK artifacts on an excursion to the Ishiyama-dera temple in Japan. The artifacts are superfluous products generated in the crossbreeding of human and technical evolution.
About Stefan Larsson
Stefan Larsson (SE), born 1973, lives and works in Otsu (JP). He studied at the Umea Academy of Fine Arts (SE) and was inspired by Ray Kurzweil’s and Vernor Vinge’s ideas about technological singularity.
