Floris Kaayk's “The Origin of Creatures” was honoured with a Honorary Mention at the Prix Ars Electronica 2011, category Computer Animation.
_The Origin of Creatures_ is inspired by the biblical story of the Tower of Babel and is set in an imaginary future where the world is hit by a catastrophe. Among the remains of a devastated city lives that what is left of humanity.

Floris Kaayk (NL), geb. 1982. Nachdem er sich der Animation verschrieben hatte, spezialisierte er sich auf die Verschmelzung von computergenerierten Bildern mit Live-Action zur Darstellung seiner Ideen.
